Director of Operations
We're a small, AI startup based in Seattle building something new in the world of personal and professional transformation. We're looking for a Director of Operations — a role that sits at the center of everything that keeps the company moving.
This is a part-time remote role. Compensation is $350/month and stock equity, w/ room to grow.
The person we're looking for isn't just organized. They have emotional fortitude. They can sit through long philosophical conversations and then go execute on seven things before the day is over. They genuinely care about people — teammates, users, partners — and it shows in how they follow through. They don't need to be pushed. They track what was said, what was promised, and what still needs to happen, and they make it happen.
Key Requirements
Natural inclination for keeping track of commitments and fulfilling them
Technology background with genuine interest in tech startups
Startup-oriented mentality — enthusiastic and action-driven
Patient enough to listen through long philosophical discussions
Resilient and strong emotional fortitude
Caretaking, therapist-like personality — very giving and caring
Customer-centric mindset
Familiar with Zoom and being online
What You'd Actually Be Doing
You'd be the connective tissue between our team and everything that keeps a company legally, financially, and operationally sound. That means owning relationships with our clients, lawyers, accountants, and HR resources, making sure paperwork doesn't fall through the cracks, and holding the thread on commitments across the team so nothing important gets dropped.
Specifically you'd be managing:
General ops — whatever execution work is slowing the team down this week
Legal — contracts, NDAs, MSAs, IP agreements, corporate governance
Finance — books, taxes, banking, payroll, accountant relationship
HR — offer letters, employment agreements, team onboarding, contractor classification
How This Role Fits Into The Team
You'll report to our Head of Operations, Mareya, who has been with COROS since early days and remains a senior leader in the company. As she returns from medical leave, you'll work closely with her and report to her and the CEO.
