The Ontology of Blindness
To be human is to be blind, by design. The move is to investigate your blindness, not pretend it away.
From The Power Course
We do not see the context that shapes us, the way a fish does not see water. This blindness is not a defect to be cured; it is constitutive of being human. The mistake is believing you have finally seen clearly.
The practical stance is humility plus curiosity: treat your own blind spots as strange new worlds worth investigating. People who do this argue less, learn faster, and navigate complexity others cannot even perceive.
